32nd Companion Dog Show 2011

60 dogs of all sizes and varieties totalling 201entries competed in 17 classes at the Camborne Redruth & District Lions Club 32^nd Annual Companion Dog Show held at the Redruth Community Centre Redruth on the 6^th November which was an unqualified success enjoyed by all who took part.

Judge Helen Filer and her assistant June Trethowan were impressed and pleased with the overall quality of the entries and the organisation of the show.

Refreshments were provided by the Lion’s Wives and other attractions included a raffle, the 50/50 game and a book stall resulting in £340 being raised for the Lion’s Charity account.

The Show was sponsored by Jennnings & Jennings, Gilbertson & Page, Pascoe’s, and Royal Canine & Wagg Foods Ltd with the Winners Rosettes being designed, manufactured & donated by Assistant Judge June Trethowan. 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd & Special Lion’s Certificates were given in all classes.

The £50 prize (sponsored by Jennings & Jennings) for the liveliest canine in the show was won by Kai owned by Sarah Luke from Flushing.

Lion President Kevin Brown thanked Helen Filer & June Trethowan, Lion Ken Powell for organizing the event and all the people that turned up on the day.
