Rowlands Fun Day 2010

 On the 30^th March 2011 the Camborne Redruth & District Lions Club held a presentation evening at Blaythorne Social Club for the Ladies of the Camborne Darts League to say thank you to the 5 teams, who during February, took part in a sponsored 2 hour doubles darts marathon.  

The team scoring the highest number of doubles was the Holman’s ‘A’ team with a total of 249 with Pendarves Arms obtaining the highest amount of sponsorship with a fabulous total of £404.50.

Both winning teams were presented with a Lions’ Perpetual Shield, a new dart board and a Lions’ Certificate of Achievement.

Teams from Heathcoat’s Social Club, The Countryman & Holman’s ‘B’ were also presented with the Lions’ Certificate of Achievement.

Lion President Derek Canham thanked all the ladies for their magnificent effort and in particular to the league’s Chairman Sue Shepherd for all her help in organising the, once again, successful marathon.

A cheque for £978, proceeds from the marathon, was presented to Daniel Cross Senior Manager from Camborne Choice.
