After a two year break due to Covid-19, the Lion’s Easter Egg Hunt on Portreath was as a resounding success!

The rain just about held off and 240 children, plus parents and Grandparents turned up to enjoy the egg hunt.

At 1pm registration commenced and there was a very steady stream of Parents, Grandparents, visitors and children up to the start time of 2pm. As well as local children the entries Included children down in Portreath on holiday from accross the UK.

Due to risk of Covid, we decided to restrict the number of children taking part to 300 but it was still a fantastic sight to see 240 children digging in roped off arenas to find the hidden 2 golden coloured eggs and 24 red coloured eggs. The finders of these eggs were rewarded with large Easter Eggs. It should be noted that all the participating children received an Easter egg.

The lucky winners are pictured below with their prizes.

All proceeds on the day were for the Lions Charity account which will be spend on local deserving causes in the Camborne and Redruth area.
