The Lions annual Easter Egg Hunt once again, took place on Portreath Beach on Easter Sunday. Almost 300 children registered to join the hunt to find the 26 buried wooden eggs.

At 1pm registration commenced and there was steady stream of people keen to register to take part in this wonderful event.

Once again we decided to restrict the number of children taking part to 300 and we were pretty much up to capacity. It was a fantastic sight to see almost children digging in roped off arenas to find the hidden 2 golden eggs and 24 red eggs. The finders of these eggs were rewarded with large Easter Eggs.

No one went away empty handed though, as each child received a small egg for taking part.

The lucky winners are pictured below with their prizes, along with some other images from the day.

All proceeds on the day were for the Lions Charity account which will be spent on local deserving causes in the Camborne and Redruth area.

We would also like to thank our sponspors who provided the eggs. Without their continued support this event may not have been possible.

Our sponsors included: Morrisons (Pool), C&R Plastics, Glow Warm Heating and Taylors Tyres
